Corbin now offers two versions of our Classic Solo seat and two different pillion pad options for your passenger. The uniquely styled Classic Solo looks excellent while providing an extraordinary amount of rider comfort. Corbin's seating platform conforms to the shape of your body for better support and more square inches of body contact. This is one of the secrets of long range comfort and is a staple of Corbin design. For added back support it also accepts an optional rider's backrest that provides an additional nine inches of vertical support.
Got reach issues on your Bagger? We also make a "Close" version of the Classic solo that provides seating almost two inches closer to the bars for an easier reach. We've also made the nose a little narrower to allow for easier ground reach. To figure out which design is best for you, just follow these simple steps: Sit on the motorcycle in your regular riding posture and have a friend measure from the threaded hole in your fender to the area where you are seated. Now compare this measurement: 14 inches use our Classic Solo, 15.75 inches use our Close Solo.
Both Classic solo and Close solo accept a removable rider's backrest for added support. Our backrest installs easily into hardware concealed inside the saddle for a very clean look. In order to fit a wide range of riders, it is fully angle adjustable. Just install the backrest into the saddle, lock it in place with a single setscrew and adjust the backrest angle to suit.
For maximum versatility we've designed the Corbin solo saddles to work with two different style passenger pillion seats. For a sly, low profile look the 50's style pillion is the choice. This model is great for occasional passengers that ride with you on short to medium length trips. If your passenger wants touring class comfort, then our Touring Pillion is the choice for you. This model offers a wider seating area for more square inches of body contact. All components work with a variety of H-D accessories and options like the "detachable" sissy bars and the Tour Pac models.
Shaping of the Classic Solo and Touring Pillion is designed to emulate the contour of your body. This gives excellent support for longer-range comfort. Our neutralized seating also helps to curb sliding in the saddle, which greatly reduces rider fatigue. Inside, the saddle is built up with our exclusive Comfort Cell
® foam for a firm, supportive ride that lasts. Corbin saddles feel firm when you first ride on them, but this firmness is what supports your body and maintains the correct shape. Over time, Comfort Cell
® will break in and provide a personalized fit to your body for even greater comfort.
For an added bit of luxury, both the Classic Solo saddle and Close Solo have the option of electric heated seating. You'll be amazed how a heated seat can raise your core body temperature during one of those chilly rides. This system easily wires directly to your Harley's fusebox and provides two levels of heat with the flip of a switch. Heater unit and automated controller are built into the saddle and come preinstalled. Two-position switch is conveniently located on the left side of the seat.
Corbin's Ovalbac series backrests come covered to match your saddle, but also offer the option of custom finishing plates on the rear. Backrests come standard with ABS leather look backing plate but you can choose a carbon-fiber look or even a paintable model at no added charge. For a little extra we offer pre-painted gloss black or a chromed steel model that coordinates perfectly with the look of the bike. If you'd like to add a bit of storage without running a trunk, you may want to check out the Corbin Glovebox that bolts up to your backrest in place of a finishing plate.
Saddles and backrests include genuine leather seating panels in your choice of colors and styles. Leather provides a luxurious perch that breathes with your body enhancing comfort value. Leather will also break in along with the foam shape in support of the personalized fit. In the side panels we use a coordinating vinyl material to keep the saddle looking sharp longer and support the foam shape. We also include the option of chrome studs at no additional charge (be sure to specify when ordering). Leather seating will perform for years and add value to your Corbin investment. Over time it will develop its own unique character just like your leather jacket. Be sure to care for it properly with a quality conditioner like Corbin's Saddle Cream to keep the hide supple and weather resistant.
Accessory Info: Designed to work in conjunction with one of the Tour Pacs or Sissy Bar systems available from Harley-Davidson. Our cool Smuggler Streamliner trunk works in place of the HD Tour Pacs for a smoother, more aerodynamic look. In the animation above, we show two different "detachable" sissy bar backrests from Harley and the Detachable Trunk setup. Here's the details:
Detachable Short Sissy Bar #52935-04. This model works with either pillion seat along with the HD pad.
Detachable Tall Sissy Bar #52933-97A. This model works with the Harley-Davidson pad or with a coordinated Corbin backrest pad #RK-PAD.
Detachable Tour Pak Rack #53276-04. This is the rack to use if you want the trunk BEHIND your passenger. You can use the Corbin Streamliner Trunk, the HD Chopped Tour Pak or the HD King Tour Pak. Streamliner trunk includes a coordinated passenger pad. If you use one of the HD Tour Pacs, we offer a coordinated passenger pad. For the King Tour Pak, choose our low profile passenger pad #502 or a full Trunk Armrest #132 for maximum copilot comfort. For the Chopped Tour Pak, our low profile pad works excellent.
Detachable Tour Pak Rack #53260-02. This is the rack to use if you want the trunk located in place of a passenger seat. Again, you can use the Corbin Streamliner Trunk, the HD Chopped Tour Pak or the HD King Tour Pak with the backrest pads as outlined above.

This saddle cover has been updated to use our new backrest hardware cover with the sliding door as shown here. To install the backrest, just slide the cover over to the side. When the backrest is not needed, just slide it closed. It doesn't get easier than that! Click image for details.
