A classy nostalgic look combined with excellent rider comfort and versatility. Corbin's Classic Solo is specially designed to keep a vintage look on your Roadliner while providing generous, ergonomically designed seating. Additionally, both the Solo Saddle and Passenger Pillion seat accept a removable backrest for added comfort and support. Run the Solo by itself for a rugged, low look or add the passenger pillion for two-up cruising.
Classic Solo is available in two configurations. Our standard solo works for taller or average height riders while our Close solo is designed to provide an easier reach to the bars. Additionally, the Close model is shaped narrower in the nose with a lower seating platform to provide an easier reach to the ground. If you're unsure which model to choose, measure the rearmost position of your body relative to where the seat meets the tank. Compare this number to the measurements in the Special Notes section below.
Both the Solos and Pillion accept a Corbin removable backrest for added support. In the solo seat, you get a total of 16 inches of vertical support with #02-S backrest installed (shown). Corbin backrests are sculpted to fit the shape of your back and provide the maximum contact patch. Naturally they are fully adjustable to provide a tailored fit to your posture. Installation and adjustment is simple so you can use a single backrest transferred front to back as needed or order two for full time use.
All Corbin saddles are designed with what we call "Ergonomic Shaping". This means the saddle's seating area is shaped to fit the curve of your body and provide proper weight distribution. This also gives more square inches of body contact to help eliminate hot spots and centralized pressure. Neutralized platforms help to curb sliding in the saddle and reduce rider fatigue.
For an added bit of luxury on those chilly morning rides, Classic Solo is available with an internal seat heater. With a simple flip of the conveniently located switch, the saddle will warm up and maintain temperature automatically. Heater and controller are built inside the saddle and preinstalled. We include a wiring pigtail that integrates with your Yamaha wiring for simple installation.
Inside, our exclusive Comfort Cell foam provides a firm, resilient ride that lasts. Our foam is firmer than stock so it can support your body weight for long days on the road without breaking down. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in and take on your body shape for a personalized fit to your posture. Although Corbin seats feel firm when you first ride on them, it is this firmness that supports your body and helps the saddle work properly.
Classic Solo and pillion have been tested to work with the Yamaha Removable sissy bar system if you prefer this to a Corbin removable rest in the rear. Because we have designed internal backrest hardware into the Classic Solo, we were unable to make this seat work with your stock pillion pad. If you prefer a totally solo look, you can mount the Solo by itself without a passenger pad. This makes a very clean look, but keep in mind you will have to remove the brackets from the rear fender. We've found that a couple of chrome button head screws make a nice plug for the holes that will be left where the brackets were.
Both saddles and backrest are richly tailored with genuine leather seating panels. Choose from a wide range of leather options for a look from mild to wild. On this page we show a standard black leather saddle and another model in all Grey Faux-Snakeskin. Leather will provide a nice perch that breathes with your body and will break in along with the foam shape for a personalized fit. Just be sure to care for your leather saddle with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream.
To further customize the look of your saddle, we can include chrome studs and our tasteful stitch pattern at no additional charge (stitch pattern is required for heated seat models). Just be sure to specify when ordering. Another custom option for your bike is a variety of backrest finishing plates for our Ovalbac models. Our standard finishing plates are ABS in: Leather look, Carbon-Fiber look, or primer. For a little extra, we can provide the finishing plates in chromed steel or even paint color matched like the pearl white one shown above.

ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works.
PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info
GENUINE LEATHER: We use leather in all panels of the seat that contact your body. This provides a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Our most popular backrest model is the perfect blend of form and function. The size looks visually appropriate on most every seat yet is large enough to provide good, sculpted support. Works well in either the rider's or passenger's position. The standard Ovalbac is available with a range of finishing plate options to dress up the rear including chrome! *More Info*
The standard Corbin backrest for years! This model is the same size and shape as the Standard Ovalbac above, but without the hole in the middle. Provides plenty of sculpted back support without looking too big on the bike. Works in both the rider or passenger seating area on virtually all Corbin saddle models. This model also has the option of chrome studs if desired. *More Info*
Like the Standard Ovalbac show above, but with a larger contact area for added support. Works great as a passenger backrest in Dual Touring models. Because of the added width, we do not recommend this model in the front position while carrying a passenger... it may interfere with their legs. Sculpted to provide wide ergonomic support. Offers a variety of finishing plate options to customize the rear (sorry, no chrome). *More Info*
This model is specially designed to be used in the large Dual Touring seats (like HD Baggers) or in Master's Type saddles as found on the Goldwings. Sculpted for extended support both vertically and horizontally, but cut away at the bottom to provide clearance for passenger's legs. A variety of finishing plate options are available to customize the rear. *More Info*
If you want the functionality of a backrest, but also want the smallest appearance possible, this is the backrest model for you. This one is most often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models (thus the name). Includes a variety of finishing plate options for the rear. *More Info*
All the functionality of an adjustable backrest, combined with the smallest profile possible. This model is often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models just like the #02-G shown above. Includes genuine leather seating and color coordinating options just like our saddles *More Info*
A convenient storage solution that looks great too. Corbin's Glove Box bolts up easily to your #02-S(B) model backrest in place of the rear finishing plate to provide four liters of locking storage. Available in primer or pre-painted. Some color matches are available depending on bike make and model. Comes fully lined too! *More Info*
