Corbin's removable rider backrest is simple to install and adjusts easily to your riding posture. Slide the backrest shaft into the internal hardware of the Classic Solo and lock it in place with a single bolt. You can then set the backrest position to your preferred setting and lock it in place with the easily accessible adjustment screw... no need to remove the saddle to accomplish this. Choose from a variety of backrest styles to suit your taste although we recommend the #02-S Ovalbac for a good combination of looks and support.
Corbin's passenger pillion seat easily bolts up along with the Corbin solo and keeps a sleek, vintage look with capabilities for passengers. We build this model low to look sly, but use our high density Comfort Cell® foam for a firm supportive ride. Naturally, we cover it to match your new solo saddle for a totally integrated look. Corbin pillion is made to bolt directly to the Classic solo and then down to your fender with the stock chrome acorn nut. Dished shaping in the pillion seat provides good contoured support and minimizes the tendency to slide in the saddle. Works with your Hondaline sissy bar / backrest if desired.
For ultra-cool solo looks, you can run the Corbin Classic Solo by itself. This allows you to show off that beautiful VTX rear fender and still provides for use of the Corbin backrest if desired. All components include genuine leather seating and are built up with our exclusive Comfort Cell® foam for firm support. Choose from a range of leather styles for a custom touch. Leather will provide a perch that breathes with your body and will break in along with the foam shape for a personalized fit. Be sure to care for your leather saddle with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream. With proper care, your seat will age gracefully developing a unique character and will be your riding buddy for years. Optional chrome studs provide an added nostalgic touch (included at no charge).
Solo Saddle accepts the range of Corbin removable backrests. Corbin's #02-S Ovalbac backrest (shown) offers an additional 8.75 inches of adjustable support. We have several styles of backrest to choose from but we visually prefer the model shown here. Corbin backrests are shaped to fit the curve of your back for maximum body contact and support. This assures they don't put any uncomfortable pressure on your spine. Our Ovalbac designs provide a cooler ride that doesn't trap heat against your body and looks great. This also makes a great hand-hold when moving your bike around the garage.
To further customize the look of your bike, we can provide a variety of back plate options on our Ovalbac series backrests. Our standard back plate has a leather look (shown) or choose from any of the styles listed below. We can even provide a backing plate that is prepainted to coordinate with your factory paint scheme for just a little extra.
This saddle cover has been updated to use our new backrest hardware cover with the sliding door as shown here. To install the backrest, just slide the cover over to the side. When the backrest is not needed, just slide it closed. It doesn't get easier than that! Click image for details.

FIBERTECH™ BASEPAN: A purpose built, hybrid material that provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the Corbin saddle. Provides a precision fit to every arc and contour of the machine and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint. We always design our basepans as flat as possible so bumps or odd shapes don't telegraph through the foam to your body. Click on the button at left to learn more...
COMFORT CELL® FOAM: The heart of the Corbin saddle! Our exclusive, purpose built foam material, called Comfort Cell, was created to provide a firm, resilient ride that doesn't break down. This means it will support you for long days on the road. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in to provide a personalized fit to your posture and even greater comfort! For the complete story just click the button.
ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works.
PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info
GENUINE LEATHER: We use leather in all panels of the seat that contact your body. This provides a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Leather will also break in along with the foam shape to support the personalized fit. Available in a wide range of textures and styles to suit your taste.
