Classic Solo provides an excellent riding position combined with a nostalgic look. Wide, dished seating gives you a greater area of body contact for superior weight dispersion. The Classic Solo is built with our high-density Comfort Cell® foam for a firm supportive ride that will last all day.
We now have two versions of this saddle model available. One is designed for the standard Roadking chrome dash and the other is designed especially for the chrome dash on the new Screaming Eagle Roadking. If you want to convert your bike to this look, you can order the correct Dash for your bike by asking your Harley dealer for part number 69105-02. Be sure to specify the correct saddle when ordering depending on which dash you are using.
If you have a hard time handling the size of your Roadking because of reach, then perhaps the Close Solo is the right choice for you. This special version is designed with a lower seat height and a seating position closer to the bars. Additionally the nose is made narrower to help your ground reach. Available for Roadking models from 1997 and up.
All Classic Solo models work with our removable rider's backrest for added back support. We offer six different models of the backrest to suit your taste. Each one installs easily into hardware inside the saddle and is fully adjustable to provide a tailored fit to your posture.
Corbin saddles include genuine leather seating in your choice of styles. Leather is a great seating material because it breathes with your body and will break in with the foam shape creating a personalized fit to your posterior. Coordinating vinyl side panels keep the foam shape tight and the saddle looking sharp.
For a more nostalgic touch, add chrome or black studs at no additional cost. Don't forget that you can also customize your saddle with special leather textures too. Our "Classic Leather" in the side panels coordinates well with the Harley leather bags on Roadkings. Corbin's Solo saddles work with any of the pillion pads available on THIS page. Only the 1997 and up models accept our chrome V-rail for an added nostalgic touch to your bike. Our V-rail bolts directly to your Corbin saddle with no brackets to add to your bike. A very attractive option for your machine!
Note: 1994 - 1996 models do NOT accept the Chrome V-Rail
UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY: The design and manufacture of Corbin products is so unique that Mike Corbin himself holds more than 60 United States Patents! From the process itself to new innovations like the Corbin Glovebox, you can count on highly functional and unique products that work. Corbin products are manufactured under one or more of the following US Patents: 6,848,156 B2; 6,729,516 B2; D 489,540S; 6,655,740 B1; 6,422,648 B1; 5,544,937; 5,608,957; 4,953,911; D545,073S & 6,971,714 B1.
FIBERTECH™ BASEPAN: A purpose built, hybrid material that provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the Corbin saddle. Provides a precision fit to every arc and contour of the machine and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint. We always design our basepans as flat as possible so bumps or odd shapes don't telegraph through the foam to your body. Click on the button at left to learn more...
COMFORT CELL® FOAM: The heart of the Corbin saddle! Our exclusive, purpose built foam material, called Comfort Cell, was created to provide a firm, resilient ride that doesn't break down. This means it will support you for long days on the road. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in to provide a personalized fit to your posture and even greater comfort! For the complete story just click the button.
ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works.
PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info
GENUINE LEATHER: We use leather in all panels of the seat that contact your body. This provides a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Leather will also break in along with the foam shape to support the personalized fit. Available in a wide range of textures and styles to suit your taste. For more information about leather seating just click away.
CORBIN BACKREST SYSTEM: The first and most versatile removable backrest system available for motorcycles! Corbin's backrests provide added vertical back support and long range comfort. Supported by internal hardware for a very clean look. Backrests adjust to rider's profile for a tailored fit and install or remove easily as desired. A very popular option! Classic Solo Seating: 13.5" wide x 18.5" long CLOSE Solo Seating: 13.5" wide x 17" long
Although #RK-F accepts a Corbin backrest, the backrest does not lock in place with screw due to integrated engineering.
Classic Solo installs with a tongue in the front and two bolts into stock locations in the rear. Due to variations in the Harley fuel tank, minor adjustments of your dash may be needed to achieve a perfect fit. This is a simple procedure that involves only two bolts.
The 2003 & up Roadkings have the handlebars rotated further forward than previous years which makes the seat feel too far back. We recommend rotating the bars towards the driver a few degrees for a more comfortable feel.
The Harley-Davidson SOLO tour pac (part #53260-02) does NOT work with the Corbin solo seat on Roadkings, FLH or Road Glides.
1994 - 1996 models do NOT accept the Chrome V-Rail
Corbin saddles (with very few exceptions) include Genuine Leather Seating to provide a luxurious look and feel.... don't let anybody tell you that vinyl is just as good! You wouldn't buy vinyl boots would you?
WARNING: Heater elements (when available) should never be installed in motorcycle seats that will be used by riders that cannot sense heat. This could create a hazardous condition.
Take good care of your new seat and the seat will take good care of you. Designed to help your leather saddle remain weather resistant and keeps the hide supple. This will allow the leather to break in and age gracefully. Great for boots, gloves & jackets too. Simple rub-in, buff out application. *More Info*
Corbin's Chrome V-Rail bolts up easily to your Classic Solo saddle with no additional brackets so installation is very clean. Triple-plate chromed for a show quality finish, the V-Rail provides a nice nostalgic look for your bike and simple installation. *More Info*
Our most popular backrest model is the perfect blend of form and function. The size looks visually appropriate on most every seat yet is large enough to provide good, sculpted support. Works well in either the rider's or passenger's position. The standard Ovalbac is available with a range of finishing plate options to dress up the rear including chrome! *More Info*
The standard Corbin backrest for years! This model is the same size and shape as the Standard Ovalbac above, but without the hole in the middle. Provides plenty of sculpted back support without looking too big on the bike. Works in both the rider or passenger seating area on virtually all Corbin saddle models. This model also has the option of chrome studs if desired. *More Info*
Like the Standard Ovalbac show above, but with a larger contact area for added support. Works great as a passenger backrest in Dual Touring models. Because of the added width, we do not recommend this model in the front position while carrying a passenger... it may interfere with their legs. Sculpted to provide wide ergonomic support. Offers a variety of finishing plate options to customize the rear (sorry, no chrome). *More Info*
This model is specially designed to be used in the large Dual Touring seats (like HD Baggers) or in Master's Type saddles as found on the Goldwings. Sculpted for extended support both vertically and horizontally, but cut away at the bottom to provide clearance for passenger's legs. A variety of finishing plate options are available to customize the rear. *More Info*
If you want the functionality of a backrest, but also want the smallest appearance possible, this is the backrest model for you. This one is most often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models (thus the name). Includes a variety of finishing plate options for the rear. *More Info*
All the functionality of an adjustable backrest, combined with the smallest profile possible. This model is often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models just like the #02-G shown above. Includes genuine leather seating and color coordinating options just like our saddles *More Info*
A convenient storage solution that looks great too. Corbin's Glove Box bolts up easily to your #02-S(B) model backrest in place of the rear finishing plate to provide four liters of locking storage. Available in primer or pre-painted. Some color matches are available depending on bike make and model. Comes fully lined too! *More Info*
