The uniquely styled Classic Solo looks excellent on your Rocket III while providing an extraordinary amount of rider comfort. Notice how the sculpting of Corbin's seating platform conforms to the shape of your body for better support and more square inches of body contact. This is one of the secrets of long range comfort and is a staple of Corbin design. For added back support it accepts an optional rider's backrest that provides an additional nine inches of vertical support. For maximum versatility, Corbin's Classic solo will also mount in conjunction with your stock passenger seat and optional sissy bar / luggage rack.
Our removable rider backrest installs easily into hardware concealed inside the saddle for a very clean look. In order to fit a wide range of Rocketeers, it can be installed in two different positions and is fully angle adjustable. Average riders will want to install the backrest in the lower position, but taller riders can change the set screw location under the seat which moves the backrest up and rearward roughly 3/4 inch. Regardless of the mounted position, the backrest adjusts easily to your posture with a conveniently located set screw at the rear of the backrest.
For maximum versatility we've designed the Corbin components to interchange with the Triumph pieces. This also allows you to vary the look of your bike depending on your current riding needs. Install the Classic Solo by itself for a very clean solo look or add the Corbin backrest for touring quality support. Need to carry a passenger? No problem, just remove the solo seat, install your stock passenger pillion and remount the Corbin solo. Installation and removal is simple and uses the Triumph key lock system. Although the stock passenger seat is vinyl, the Corbin leather saddle works very well with it visually.
Notice how the shaping is designed to emulate the contour of your body. This gives excellent support for longer range comfort. Our neutralized seating also helps to curb sliding in the saddle which greatly reduces rider fatigue. Inside, the saddle is built up with our exclusive Comfort Cell® foam for a firm, supportive ride that lasts. Corbin saddles feel firm when you first ride on them, but this firmness is what supports your body and maintains the correct shape. Over time, Comfort Cell® will break in and provide a personalized fit to your body for even greater comfort.
Corbin's Ovalbac series backrests come covered to match your saddle, but also offer the option of custom finishing plates on the rear. On this page we've used our chrome back plate to coordinate with the look of the bike. Notice how well in integrates visually with the Rocket III and matches up to the injector cover and other nice chrome tidbits. Backrests come standard with an ABS leather look backing plate but you can choose an aluminum look, carbon-fiber look or even a paintable model at no added charge. For a little extra we offer pre-painted gloss black or the chromed steel model shown.
Saddle and backrest include genuine leather seating panels in your choice of styles. Leather provides a luxurious perch that breathes with your body enhancing comfort value. Leather will also break in along with the foam shape in support of the personalized fit. In the side panels we use a coordinating vinyl material to keep the saddle looking sharp longer and support the foam shape.
Leather seating will perform well for many years and add value to your Corbin investment. Over time it will develop its own unique character just like your leather jacket. Be sure to care for it properly with a quality conditioner like Corbin's Saddle Cream to keep the hide supple and weather resistant. This will assure your new saddle provides a long service life and remains looking nice. Beware of products that contain petroleum or kerosene as they will damage the hide and shorten its lifespan.

FIBERTECH™ BASEPAN:
A purpose-built hybrid material that provides a firm foundation
to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the Corbin

the machine and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint.
We always design our basepans as flat as possible so bumps or

COMFORT CELL® FOAM:
The heart of the Corbin saddle! Our exclusive, purpose-built
foam material, called Comfort Cell, was created to

ERGONOMIC SHAPING:
A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is its
ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed
to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more
square inches of body contact and helps eliminate hot spots.
This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb
sliding in the saddle, which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell:
more comfort for a longer ride!

PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY:
Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding
technology, which is now the process by which all Corbin
saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight
tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and
base material.

Installation: Installation of the Corbin Classic Solo saddle is simple and works on your stock Triumph key lock system. Mounting brackets come premounted on the seat so you're ready to roll right out of the box.
Simply remove your stock seat and slide the Corbin saddle into its place. Locate the tongue in the front of the saddle into the bracket on your frame and lower the latching pin into place in the Triumph bracket. Notice our bracket is designed with a double latch, so listen for TWO clicks.
To adjust the position of the Corbin backrest, just insert the backrest shaft into the hardware and align the threaded hole in the shaft with either of the two openings in the Corbin basepan. The hole closer to the top of the saddle will move the backrest up and rearward roughly 3/4 inches. Now tighten the safety screw securely. We also recommend the use of a light grip threadlock material like Loctite Blue in this instance.
To ease installation until the rubber bumpers on the basepan break in, it may be necessary to add a couple washers between the Corbin basepan and latch pin.
We recommend removing the seat from the bike when washing. In the case of the Rocket III, remember to cover your airbox when doing this to stop water from getting in!
