Corbin's popular Dual Tour is available for the Rocket 3 with the option of electric seat heaters! This model provides you and a passenger with the most comfort and support available. Our sculpted seating gives proper weight distribution to allow long range comfort. Generously contoured platforms eliminate hot spots and centralized pressure that causes discomfort. On the inside, Corbin's exclusive Comfort Cell® foam material gives firm support that conforms to your body over time for a personalized fit. Naturally, we keep a nice flowing line on the bike that integrates with the vintage theme.
Corbin's Dual Touring Saddle accepts a removable rider's backrest in the front seating position. Backrest is adjustable for a tailored fit to your posture and installs or removes easily as desired. Dual Touring saddle fits both the GT and R models of the Rocket 3, but works best if you have the Triumph passenger sissy bar installed.
Speaking of backrests, we're happy to introduce our newest model shown for the first time here. The #BR Edge model (above) has a design similar to our Ovalbac models with a sportier, edgy look. Naturally it features over 100 degrees of adjustment like our other models. It also provides an added nine inches of vertical support. Due to the limited length of the seating on the new Rocket, it is usually best to remove the rider's backrest when carrying a passenger.
The Corbin saddle works with the Triumph adjustable passenger backrest pad in the rear or with the taller version we designed. The Corbin passenger pad provides nine inches of vertical support and is sculpted ergonomically for more comfort. It installs directly on the OEM sissy bar easily with common hand tools. Built up with Comfort Cell foam and covered to match your Corbin seat. Please note: With the added height built in, we did not make the passenger pad height adjustable.
As you can see, the ergonomic design of the Dual Touring saddle also gives a nice flowing shape on the Rocket for a clean look. Inside the saddle, Corbin's Comfort Cell foam provides a nice firm perch that supports your body indefinitely and doesn't cave in like softer materials. Comfort Cell feels firm when you first ride on it, but it is this support that gives you day long comfort. That's why we always say "Firm is a good thing".
We use genuine leather seating panels for a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Leather is extremely durable and will break in along with the foam shape to conform to your body. We offer a wide range of material choices with different colors and textures to suit your taste. Shown above we used Black Carbon-Fiber seating with Smoke Bomber Jacket trim and Black stitching. To give it a sportier look we added Red Bomber Jacket welts and our new Trexx Gear material in the sides which coordinates nicely with the engine cases and other bits.
For the Rocket 3 we offer the option of electric heated seating. A single switch controls the heat for both the rider and passenger positions. The switch is conveniently located along the left side of the saddle so you can reach it without taking your hand off the throttle. Level of heat is controlled automatically by a thermostat built into the control unit. Very simple to install with all components and complete instructions included.
As a final bit of customization, Corbin's #BR backrest and Sissy Bar Pad both have interchangeable finishing plates on the rear. Choose from Leather look, Carbon-Fiber look (shown), or paintable if you'd like to have them custom painted. They'll come to you ready to scuff and spray.
Be sure to care for your leather saddle properly with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream. This will help the hyde to resist the elements and remain supple. The leather seating will conform along with the foam shape and provide a personalized fit to your posterior. Over time, your leather saddle will develop its own unique character just like your leather jacket does. Never use cleaners or conditioners that have a petroleum or kerosene base (as many commercial products do) as they will damage the hyde and shorten its lifespan. With good care, your leather saddle will serve you well for many years to come.
You may notice that we've created a newly themed Corbin logo for English bikes that includes an embroided Union Jack on the side panels. We are making this available for all English makes at no added charge, but you do need to specify on your order.
