Corbin's Classic Solo and Pillion are built up to enhance the comfort value of your Moto-Guzzi and work in conjunction with the OEM seats to provide maximum versatility.
Built on a rigid Fibertech basepan that provides a more precise fit and has the strength to support the carefully designed foam shape. Fibertech also has the strength needed to support Corbin's internal backrest hardware. Our patented manufacturing process provides a mechanical bond between the foam and baseplate to assure a long term supportive foam shape.
We use a unique design principal called Ergonomic Shaping. This means the saddle is shaped like the human body to create more square inches of body contact and better weight distribution. This will eliminate hot spots and provide more support over your entire rear end. When combined with our purpose built Comfort Cell® foam, you'll find a firm supportive ride that allows you to spend all day in the saddle. Near the front of the seat you can see how it was shaped to allow for good ground reach at stop signs.
Both the Solo and Pillion seats work with an optional Corbin backrest for added support. We offer a range of styles to choose from to suit the amount of support desired. Backrests install / remove with a single bolt and adjust to rider posture. Shown above is our Ovalbac model #02-SB which offers a good combination of clean looks with nine inches of vertical back support. You can use a single backrest transferred front to back as needed or get two for full time use.
Our blend of unique materials and craftsmanship provides a component that flows with the bike and looks as good as it works... Corbin delivers maximum value with designer quality appearance! Seat shaping provides a nice flowing look on the bike that matches the Moto-Guzzi styling. On top we've designed a cover pattern in genuine leather for a luxurious ride that looks great. Our neutralized seating platform helps to curb the tendency to slide in the saddle which will help eliminate fatigue over the long haul.
Classic Solo offers the option of electric heated seating for those chilly morning rides. We incorporate a heater unit under the leather seating and a switch on the left side of the saddle (so you can turn it on without taking your hand off the throttle). Just flip the switch and the seat will warm up and maintain temperature automatically. Comes completely preinstalled in the saddle and you only need integrate the included pigtail to your fusebox.
Virtually all Corbin saddles include genuine leather seating for a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Likewise, leather seating will break in along with the foam shape to provide a personalized fit to your body over time. In the side panels we use a vinyl material to support the foam shape and keep the saddle taught and nice looking for years to come. The model shown here uses Black Grabber seating, Carbon-Fiber sides and a tasteful red stitching to add a nice, custom touch. Naturally the choice of cover materials is yours to make at no extra charge.
A bit more custom... Our Ovalbac backrests have removable finishing plates on the rear so you can customize their look. Our standard plate is a leather look ABS, but we also offer a Carbon-Fiber look or primer for custom painting. For just a bit extra we can provide a plate either prepainted gloss black or in chromed steel.
If you're in the market for a little more storage we have this cool Glovebox that attaches in place of the rear finishing plate. If offers plenty of room for a couple bottles of water and your other small travel essentials like cell phones and (you guessed it) gloves. Corbin glovebox offers four liters of storage and locks to protect your cargo.
Classic Solo installs just like stock and integrates with the factory key lock. Passenger Pillion also installs like stock with mounting bracket preinstalled on the seat. Re-use the stock bolts to secure the Corbin rear seat. If you opt for electric heat in the front seat, all components come installed in the saddle. Simply connect the included wiring pigtail into your fusebox and you're ready to go. Full instructions included.
This saddle cover has been updated to use our new backrest hardware cover with the sliding door as shown here. To install the backrest, just slide the cover over to the side. When the backrest is not needed, just slide it closed. It doesn't get easier than that! Click image for details.
