Patent SealFor those who tour solo or commute on the Gold Wing, we offer the exclusive Corbin Smuggler. Artfully designed and color matched to your paint to give a totally integrated look while adding convenient storage. With over 10 liters capacity, the Smuggler securely and conveniently stores all your quick access items like cell phone, GDO remotes or even your tablet computer.

Smuggler provides a very clean solo look and gives excellent rider comfort up front. Built to follow the lines of the Gold Wing and flow with the body for a deceptively small appearance. Pop open the door and you have access to 10.5 liters of locking storage. You'll find the Smuggler so convenient that it will quickly become your primary storage.

Slick details pick up the specific lines of the bike and lend a bit more flair. Our patented molding process and exclusive materials create a part with very minimal variation from piece to piece. This allows us the ability to design a very close fit to the bodywork. Smuggler is then hand-finished and custom painted with quality materials from companies like PPG and House of Kolor (varies by color selected).

Up front, the enhanced ergonomics create a perch that provides long range comfort. Using our exclusive high-density Comfort Cell foam, we can build a supportive saddle without a bulky shape. Corbin's Wizards are masters at combining form and function into a saddle that makes you as happy to look at as it does to ride on. This model even includes our Fire & Ice system to provide a perch that is both heated AND cooled depending on your current needs.

Thermal Image Comparison
Mr C picked up a cool thermal imaging device and we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to play around with the nifty gadget. Although the color time lapse video (HERE) is interesting to watch, this greyscale comparison actually tells the story more concisely. The two images in this comparison were shot just seven minutes apart with the first image being on "Cool" and the second image flipped to "Heat". In these images, dark is cold and white is hot... Notice how the bucket is dished to emulate the shape of your body and provide six inches of vertical back support. This gives excellent comfort for longer range. Neutralized seating helps to curb sliding in the saddle which greatly reduces rider fatigue. We include your choice of color options for looks from outrageous to stealthy. Shown above: Red Bomber Jacket seating, Carbonium side panels, Silver Carbon-Fiber Welt, Red stitching and Gold logo.

For added touring support, the front saddle accepts our optional rider's backrst. Corbin's backrests are available in several styles to suit your taste and the amount of support desired (#02-SB shown). Backrest is adjustable to provide a tailored fit to your posture and installs/removes easily with a single bolt under the saddle. Comes decorated to match your Corbin saddle for a totally integrated look.

Smuggler comes fully lined to help protect your cargo and cushion some of the road noise. Naturally, the door opening is fully weather stripped to guard against foul weather as well. Locking door keeps things secure and simple to access. Front saddle and Smuggler install on the bike as one piece and secure to stock locations on the bike.

HeliBar Demo Perfecting the Ergos: When Mike picked up his 'Wing, he carefully evaluated the ergonomics and did a lot of seat time to determine the best riding position... or as we call it, the Sweet Spot. Our seat models plant you in this perfect spot which gives you the best feeling of integration with your bike and comfort value. Some have found the reach to the bars to be a tad too much in this position, but moving the seating forward would create additional knee bend which isn't ideal. We suggest going with the Tour Performance bar risers from HeliBar. They provide an additional 5/8" in height and pull back 2 3/4" to the rider. Sets the new Gold Wing up just about perfect! About Fire & Ice: Ever hear of the Peltier Effect? If so, you've probably already figured out the basics of how the Corbin Fire & Ice system works. With just a couple of fans and some clever application we can include both heat and cool in the same saddle without pumps, compressors or fluids. It should be noted the cooling effect is affected by ambient temperature. The system will quickly cool the surface 10-15 degrees below ambient temperature. On the heat side we thermostatically set it to top out at approximately 110 degrees. The degree of heat/cool you experience will, of course, be influenced by the type of riding gear you wear.
