Classic Solo & Pillion for 2008 - 2017 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe

If this was MY bike, here's what I'd do... First off, set aside the stock puffy, stuffmuffin solo seat along with the pillion and fender rack. Second, remove the anti-scratch contact paper from the fender (you won't need it with our seats) and run the bike with just the Corbin solo as shown in the fifth image above. Looks nice doesn't it?   "But what about passengers?" you may ask. Well, on a shelf in the garage (waiting for the significant other's desire to go for a putt) would be a Corbin King & Queen style pillion pad. It installs easily along with the factory fender rack, so there's maximum versatility and excellent comfort to boot. Integrated backrest gives your passenger loads of support and a nostalgic visual appeal to the bike.

This particular Solo & Pillion configuration is designed specifically for the Softail Deluxe and is made to integrate with the Harley-Davidson chrome grab rail and rear fender rack. These parts are standard on the Deluxe model, but you can convert your Heritage Classic to this setup if you want to get the parts from your local H-D dealer.

Corbin's Classic solo provides the use of our removable rider's backrest for over 12 inches of vertical back support. Sculpted seating position gives maximized body contact and provides true touring comfort with a bucket that gives plenty of lower back support. Our neutralized seat platform offers an easier reach to the ground and a more ergonomic position on the bike.

Corbin's optional removable rider backrest is simple to install and adjusts easily to your riding posture. Slide the backrest shaft into the internal hardware of the Classic Solo and lock it in place with a single bolt. You can then set the backrest position to your preferred setting and lock it in place with the easily accessible adjustment screw. Choose from a variety of backrest styles to suit your taste although we recommend the #02-S Ovalbac for a good combination of looks and support. Passenger pillion is built to maximize seating area with a dished shape that provides better weight distribution. This will eliminate hot spots and increase passenger's riding range. We've designed this specially to work with your factory luggage rack and keep a very cool look on your bike. Installs with or without the rider's backrest in the solo seat and includes black ABS finishing plate on the rear. Triple rib design of the backing plate matches the three bars of the luggage rack for a totally integrated look. In these photos, we've had our finishing plate custom painted to match the bike, but the standard finishing plate comes in a leather pattern ABS. If you would like your saddle made with a smooth plate suitable for painting, please specify on the order form.

All components include genuine leather seating for a luxurious perch that breathes with your body. To match the aesthetics of the Deluxe, this model uses our standard natural grain leather with a tasteful tuck & roll stitch pattern, Classic leather skirts and chrome studs. Passenger pillion is dressed similarly with natural leather seating and Classic leather sides.

Just a reminder, this saddle is specially designed for the Harley-Davidson Deluxe model. It will not work on other Softail models unless you purchase the grab rail and luggage rack from your Harley Dealer. Corbin solo and pillion will work in conjunction with stock components. Installation of both components is accomplished with all required brackets included. Once the brackets are installed on the motorcycle, the solo seat will install and remove with our integrated key lock for simplicity.

Solo configuration: To make it look really clean, replace the stock large white plastic washers with a couple of smaller black neoprene ones and get a pair of chrome acorn nuts for the seat rail studs. Perfect the look with a lay-down license place holder... just our humble opinions of course.

New Backrest Hardware Cover This saddle cover has been updated to use our new backrest hardware cover with the sliding door as shown here. To install the backrest, just slide the cover over to the side. When the backrest is not needed, just slide it closed. It doesn't get easier than that! Click image for details.
