Happy Waitangi Day!
Actually, that was last monday, but I just couldn't bring myself to wish you all a happy valentine's day (by the way gentlemen... it's next Tuesday!) Besides, it is becoming increasingly difficult to have a unique salutation every week. Anyway...

If you haven't checked out the attached JPEG yet, it contains our new seat design for the Yamaha Majesty (their maxi-scooter) and a pic of our buddy "Jack" from Corbin Germany. Mike and Jack have been friends and business associates for nearly twenty years as he services the Deutsch market with fine Corbin accessories. (A shameless plug there eh?) Jack spent most of the week here with us at the factory making plans for 2006.

Oh yeah, and the Majesty? Cool new two piece design with adjust- able seating and passenger backrest option. We should have it online early next week at: But you know about it first!

2006 Harley-Davidson Softail FXST saddles (more)
2006 Harley-Davidson Dyna-Glide saddles (more)
2006 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide-Glide saddles
Yamaha Roadliner & Stratoliner saddles (more)
Corbin aerodynamic Trunk box for HD Touring bikes
2006 Kawasaki Ninja 650R Saddle
2005 Honda CBR 600 F4i Saddle
2005 Suzuki Boulevard M-50 Saddles
Yamaha MT-01 dual saddle
Yamaha Majesty Scooter Smuggler trunk
New design Corbin backrest

Don "Gypsy" Williams was right on top of it and responded in plenty of time to claim the January prize. He scored himself a $250 Corbin Gift Certificate which as he says "Hmmmmm... what shall I buy for my wicked 04 Fatboy?!" Congrats Don and thanks for reading. Next winner will be pulled in three weeks.

Just so you know... Waitangi Day is celebrated every February 6th in New Zealand in honor of the signing of the treaty of (you guessed it) Waitangi. This controversial agreement between Queen Victoria and chiefs from over 500 Maori tribes was signed in 1840 and is considered New Zealand's founding document.

In modern days it is a time to celebrate documents in general... in fact, many have used the occaision to send gifts to editors of news letters and the like (hint hint). OK, I made that last part up, but you can't blame me for trying.

Tuesday February 7th the Hollister Free Lance reported our City Council had turned down a last minute proposal from a third party to fund and organize the Independence rally. After roughly an hour of discussion, the council voted 3-2 to adopt a resolution stating the rally would not take place on public land in 2006.

The general concensus is that people are going to come anyway and this editor agrees. Says Hollister Mayor Robert Scattini, "That's the nature of the beast. It's the birthplace of the American Biker." Corbin's plans for the annual event are still under consideration, but we'll keep you updated.

Corbin's Ride-On new season begins February 21st, 2006. Check it out on the Speed Channel.
Complete Schedule:

Bike Week is just 'round the bend. Our truck is back at the factory and is loading up for the big season opener on the east coast. We'll have two areas available where you can check the Corbin goods first hand. 777 Main street hosts our showroom and look for the Corbin show truck in the Destination Daytona area near the HD shop.

Bike Week
Daytona Beach, FL
March 3 - 12, 2006

Well kiddies that wraps it up for this week. We hope you found it fun and educational... or at least fun. And to any of you ladies who read the opening statement and may think I've forgotten about you... Not so! I specifically said "gentlemen" because it's common knowledge it'll be the guys that forget Valentine's day. Just stirrin' the pot a little!

Until next week, Happy Trails!
