* * * OLD SKOOL * * * Corbin H-D catalogs It's been a while since we've unleased the fury of the printing industry on some hapless forest by printing up an annual catalog. As it turns out, our dealers really need them for reference... Our product line is getting so diverse and there are so many differences in fit from model to model that even we have a hard time keeping them straight. As such we're coming out with a whole line of catalogs for 2008!

The first one to hit the streets is shipping even as I write this and outlines our whole lineup for Harley-Davidson models. Although designed primarily as a dealer support tool, you just know we printed up extras! So if you'd like to get your hands on one of these groovy little books, just give us a holler or drop us an email and we'll ship one to you (or maybe we'll just hand it off to a boy scout and have him bring it to you.)

Next off the presses will be a Corbin Yamaha catalog followed closely by Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, BMW, Ducati, KTM... well, you get the idea. By the way, we'll keep a pile of books handy as we travel from rally to rally this year so feel free to drop by and ask for one!

* * * TRIPPIN' * * *
Trippin on Two WheelsC'mon man, get your mind out of the 60's... we're not talking about THAT kind of Trippin'.

The boys at Bradley-David Productions are at it again with their latest offering on Speed TV. Dubbed Trippin on Two Wheels, this premiere episode features Speed's mustachioed maven Dennis Gage along with 16 year old son Sam and moto-journalist Neale Bayly as they blast around Scotland on Triumph Sprints. Naturally they were well equipped for the outting with Corbin tush cushions providing the comfort. Yes that was a shameless plug, but remember, this is a Corbin newsletter.

The first airing is scheduled for ... well, it was scheduled for yesterday (good job Chuck!) Never fear, it will air again on January 29th at 3:00pm Eastern time. Not exactly convenient for those of us working for a living, but that's where the ole Tivo box comes in handy. Unlike myself, Tivo doesn't have a job and just sits on its fat electronic arse all day watching TV. Three more Tripping episodes are in the works and we'll keep you posted on upcoming air dates... preferably BEFORE they happen.

Caution, Unrelated editorial comment follows:
While in a particularly bibulous moment and against my better judgement, I was watching TV the other day. I won't rail any specific program for fear of offending someone, but I will say, "There's a lot of crap on the tele nowadays." With all due respect, what isn't a me-too Reality Show is some regurgitated, rehashed, unoriginal horse plop. I actually found myself looking forward to the commercials!

So inevitably the big boys of corporate spin get their moment and what to my wondering eyes should appear? Talking boogers! Yeah, that's gross and I'm sorry if I offended you, but I am not making this up! The front man for an OTC cold remedy designed to loosen flem is exactly that... flem! To say nothing of the creepy, plastic "King" who stalks unsuspecting consumers in the burger giant's latest round of commercials. Yuck.

So this is the kind of thing that shows up on the tube while Corbin's Ride-On was not reknewed?! I am seriously offended. Although it does explain why you good folks read Chuck's ramblings... there's nothing on TV!

* * * GREETS * * *
Just a quick note to say thanks to Scott who came all the way to our Hollister factory from Canada just to say hi to Chuck! Well, he actually came to get a new Corbin seat made, but he DID specifically look me up while he was here. I was so flattered and outright stunned that anyone would do this, that I did little more than stammer and look confused. I must have made quite an impression... kind of like an Idiot Savant, but without the savant part. Anyway, Thanks for stopping by Scott, it was a pleasure to meet ya.

* * * 'NET NUGGETS * * *
Board Track Racing We've been selflessly scouring the internet for hours untold, just to find choice morsels for your entertainment. Believe it or not, hidden deep in the murky depths of the internet, between the bucket's-o-porn and the male enhancement drugs there is quality content waiting to be found.

To be honest, this month's top pick comes via our long time pal Robin Hartfiel, publisher of the trade mag Motorcycle Product News. This one is so good, we're not even going to clutter up this space with other nuggets of internet interest... Real, honest to goodness original footage of board track racing from the early 1900s!
