Corbin's extremely popular Beetle Bags are sculpted specially to fit close to the bike for improved weight handling and to be aerodynamically silent. The flowing shape provides a bit of vintage Hot Rod styling to the bike and integrates the rear end into a more precise design. Both bags feature top loading so that contents can't spill out when opened and they will self close in the wind if forgotten. Designed by the same folks that ran Suzuki Hayabusa saddlebags over 180mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats!
Corbin Beetle Bags mold around the passenger's legs to maximize capacity without creating an overbearing look on your sleek machine. We mold the interior wall close to the profile of the bike to keep them narrow and carry the shape around the rear fender. This also carries the weight of the bags and contents closer to the centerline of the bike for a good center of gravity. When loaded properly, you won't even know they're back there while riding and the bike remains stable at all speeds.
Notice how the Corbin mounting system keeps the Beetle Bags close to the bike. We mold them around the fender rails and in tight to the fender. Again, this allows the bags to carry weight in close where it won't upset your balance. This mounting system and design also keeps a narrower profile for best possible aerodynamics and less width to worry about when lane splitting. The blue bike on this page is using a set of 3" shotgun pipes from Hardkrome (part number: 45-8850B) that look really nice as you can see in the top image. Corbin saddlebags will work equally well with your stock pipes, but we can't say the same for ALL after-market pipes. Any system the same height or lower than stock should be fine.
Both bags come completely lined to protect your cargo and feature locking doors for security. Sure seal weather stripping and adjustable lock mechanism keeps them watertight. Our top loading design assures that contents won't spill out when the bag is opened while the forward hinge action allows the bag to self-close if forgotten. Corbin's Beetle Bags come pre-painted to coordinate with your factory paint job so they're ready to install right out of the box.
When loading items inside the bags, it is best to load heavy items closest to the bike for proper load bearing and balance. Also, because of the beautiful painted finish, it is important to load items like disk locks carefully. If you throw an item like this into one of the bags, it can create pressure cracks in the paint on the outside of the bag. Just place items in carefully and, when possible, pack around them to stop items from jumping around if you run onto some rough roads.
Manufactured of our durable Fibertech material, Beetle Bags come as a complete set with all installation brackets and complete instructions included. These bags will fit with Kawasaki sissybar or Corbin Streamliner trunk. We modified the design of our Fleetliner Bags with small spaces which allow the mounting of the sissybar. If you take passengers regularly and are looking for a backrest option, the Corbin Dual Touring saddle may be just the ticket.
