Designed specifically to work with the Corbin Fleetliner saddlebag brackets on your Spyder to allow for use of a tow behind trailer.
A very clean and secure solution for adding a hitch to your bike when you have the Corbin bags in place. Built with 4130 chromoly tubing to provide high strength while keeping the weight light (just 6.5 lbs). Painted in satin black to coordinate with your Spyder's chassis and bolts up easily to the Corbin Fleetliner brackets with just four included bolts.
Specifically designed to eliminate sharp edges and corners that could hurt you as you walk around the bike. Mounting plate comes drilled to 3/4 inch to allow for most common trailer hitches. Note, we do NOT supply the hitch ball or trailer wiring with this carrier... you'll want to go to your trailer manufacturer for those items. Corbin hitch carrier is shown above with a Bushtec trailer hitch installed.
Plenty strong enough to handle any tongue weight that would be safe to carry with your Spyder. We've gone so far as to have one of our fabricators stand on the hitch to assure it wouldn't bend... you would never have that much tongue weight on a motorcycle trailer! Speaking of which, ALWAYS use common sense and any recomendations provided by Can-Am or your trailer manufacturer when setting up a trailer for your bike. Never overload your Spyder so you'll always arrive safe and sound.
Installation of the Corbin hitch carrier bolts directly to the Corbin saddlebag brackets. This means that all weight is transferred the subframe and nothing is added to or effects the Can-Am swingarm. We would NOT recommend mounting anything to the rear swingarm of your bike!
Lastly, we just gotta know... Just where are you folks going with so much storage?!? Between the Spyder's trunk and the 100 combined liters of storage in the Corbin Fleetliner bags, a trailer seems almost redundant! Got some good stories or radical plans? We'd love to hear 'em! Drop us a line to our General Mailbox. Happy Trails!
